Job Description
Diligent Recruitment 2026 is hiring for the position of Junior Research Analyst in Bengaluru. This is an entry-level opportunity suitable for freshers from any degree background who have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. The role is part of Diligent's Market Intelligence function and involves data collection, quality assurance, research operations, database maintenance and coordination with third-party service providers. Junior Research Analysts will support specialized research areas including compensation, governance, activism, voting and risk. The position requires candidates to work with global data sources, perform systematic data checks, maintain database accuracy, manage assigned daily and weekly tasks and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve research processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Research: Conduct data collection tasks to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the database; Collect information manually from global sources as required; Support research activities across specialized areas such as compensation, governance, activism, voting and risk; Follow established data collection methodologies and predefined protocols.
- Data Quality & Validation: Perform systematic checks to identify data inaccuracies; Identify operational inefficiencies in research and data collection processes; Maintain high-quality and timely data delivery; Support quality assurance processes across assigned research activities.
- Outsourcer & Workload Management: Communicate proactively with third-party service providers; Manage and monitor outsourcer workloads within agreed timelines; Help train service providers on relevant processes and methodologies; Monitor workload progress and identify potential challenges or delays.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to the relevant Vertical Lead; Communicate progress, challenges, risks and operational issues; Maintain clear process documentation and research records.
- Project & Operational Ownership: Take ownership of specific daily and weekly activities; Contribute to ongoing research projects within the assigned vertical; Work independently while collaborating with internal teams; Support continuous improvement of research products and processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams; Help improve operational efficiency and data accuracy; Contribute feedback on research workflows and data processes.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Any degree qualification.
Experience: Freshers / Entry Level.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office, especially Excel (proficiency)
