Job Description

Based in India, you will apply and enhance your skills in a full-stack software development role supporting a manufacturing site with collaboration and support from a global team of developers. You will provide system support for production, troubleshoot manufacturing execution system and software issues, and contribute to automation projects, software change requests, qualifications and improvements. The role provides exposure to software development, database design, production support, troubleshooting, automation and digital transformation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Full-stack Development: Work on full-stack software development using C#.NET and SQL.
- Software Support: Support custom in-house Manufacturing Execution Software applications and databases.
- Technical Specifications: Translate business requirements into technical specifications for software development.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering teams to develop, set up and test software features.
- Efficiency Improvement: Contribute to solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality and automation.
- Global Teamwork: Collaborate with a global team of software engineers on projects, production support and software maintenance activities.
- Integration Development: Develop and support software integrations with equipment, devices and systems.
- Software Design: Develop and document software designs using Object-Oriented techniques.
- Source Code Management: Manage source code using TFS Version Control and Azure DevOps.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve manufacturing production software issues.
- Innovation: Share ideas and solutions for improvements and innovations for supported software.
- Database Administration: Perform basic database administration on Windows operating systems and SQL servers.
- Digital Transformation: Work on digital transformation initiatives involving data transformation and Power BI.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Candidates with BCA, MCA, BCS and MCS qualifications may also be eligible.
Experience: Experience in software development and a good understanding of object-oriented design and analysis through academic projects or work experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft development tools, Windows operating system and Microsoft SQL.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI and SSRS.
- Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET and SQL (Preferred).
- Familiarity with SSIS and SSRS (Preferred).
- Knowledge of Office Suite or Power BI (Preferred).
- Familiarity with TFS Version Control (Preferred).
- Understanding of Azure DevOps (Preferred).
