Job Description
For the Emerson Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a Software Developer to translate digital transformation goals into scalable AI agent development activities. You will work on the Ovation Intelligence ecosystem, developing custom user agents for diagnostics, automation, and engineering workflows. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in AI/ML model development, specifically with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent architectures. You will collaborate with engineering, UX, and cybersecurity teams to deploy AI solutions in regulated, mission-critical environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- AI Agent Development: Implement AI agents within the Ovation Intelligence ecosystem for industrial applications.
- Platform Design: Participate in the design of the Agent Builder platform to create custom user agents.
- Collaboration: Work with AI engineers, software developers, and domain SMEs to define agent use cases.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure agents improve operator awareness, reduce troubleshooting time, and enable predictive maintenance.
- Security Compliance: Work with Cybersecurity teams to enforce rigorous security standards for AI-driven solutions.
- Infrastructure Alignment: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to align compute, GPU usage, and performance requirements.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI/ML, or related fields.
Experience: 1–5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML model development and deployment.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in C# and Python.
- Experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch and Deep Learning.
- Expertise in LLMs, RAG, and Agentic AI.
Competencies:
- Prior experience with Emerson Ovation or Industrial Control Systems (DCS/SCADA).
- Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) networks and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with ML Ops and Prompt Engineering.
