Job Description
The Executive QA position is focused on quality assurance and laboratory testing within the food-testing environment. The successful candidate will help ensure that laboratory testing, quality processes, documentation, and food-safety requirements are followed correctly. The role combines technical laboratory work with quality management, regulatory compliance, audit support, investigation, and corrective-action activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that laboratory testing, quality processes, documentation, and food-safety requirements are followed correctly.
- Laboratory Testing: Perform or coordinate microbiological, chemical, and physical laboratory testing.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, and applicable FSSAI regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Investigations: Investigate product quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformities.
- CAPA: Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Audits: Conduct internal audits and support external regulatory or certification audits.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related discipline. B.Tech./M.Tech. in Food Technology or Food Engineering.
Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in HPLC analysis, preferably within a food testing laboratory.
Competencies:
- Practical knowledge of HPLC analysis
- Familiarity with laboratory hygiene and sample handling
- Understanding of HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, and FSSAI regulations
- Knowledge of microbiological, chemical, and physical analysis for food products
- Ability to maintain accurate quality records and documentation
- Experience in product quality investigations and root cause analysis
- Understanding of CAPA implementation
- Experience with internal and external audits
- Ability to provide food safety training
