Job Description
F5 is offering a Software Engineer Apprentice position in Hyderabad for 2026 recruitment, designed for freshers with a B.E/B.Tech qualification. This role provides hands-on experience in C++, software testing, networking, and debugging. A strong focus is placed on C++ programming and object-oriented programming, along with basic knowledge of unit testing, test case writing, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model). Apprentices will develop/maintain C++ code, perform basic unit/integration testing, assist with debugging, and participate in code reviews. The position also offers exposure to Linux/Unix, Layer 7 protocols, Wireshark, Docker, and Kubernetes. Roles and Responsibilities
- Code Development: Develop and maintain C++ code for assigned software modules.
- Testing: Perform basic unit and integration testing; assist with debugging and troubleshooting software issues.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feature implementation and support defect investigation and resolution.
- Documentation: Document code, test cases, and engineering processes.
- Networking Application: Apply networking concepts in practical software scenarios.
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech qualification.
Experience: Freshers.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- C++ Programming (variables, functions, pointers, references, classes, objects, memory management, standard containers, exception handling, debugging)
- Object-Oriented Programming (encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, constructors, destructors, composition, access control)
- Software Testing (basic knowledge, unit testing, test case writing)
- Networking Fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, common network protocols, ports, addressing, basic troubleshooting)
Competencies:
