Job Description
FreightTiger Recruitment 2026 is hiring for the position of Software Engineering Intern – AI & Data in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This internship is designed for final-year students and recent graduates from top-tier institutes who are interested in software engineering, artificial intelligence, data engineering, and logistics technology. The selected interns will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real-world products involving Agentic AI, LLM-powered applications, RAG workflows, Python engineering, data pipelines, streaming systems, and scalable backend solutions. This opportunity offers a stipend of up to ₹25,000 per month for a duration of 6 months, with immediate joining.
Roles and Responsibilities
- AI Agent Development: Build LLM-powered Agentic AI systems using tool-use, multi-step planning and RAG workflows.
- Backend & Data Solutions: Develop scalable backend and data-processing solutions using Python; Write clean, maintainable and production-grade software.
- Data Pipeline Management: Work on high-volume and real-time data pipelines and streaming systems.
- Algorithm Application: Apply data structures and algorithms to solve engineering problems at scale.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams.
- Testing & Improvement: Participate in testing and evaluation of solutions in production environments; Debug and improve applications and data-processing systems.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Final-year students or recent graduates from IITs, NITs, BITS, IIITs or equivalent top-tier institutions.
Experience: 0–2 Years.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Python (strong programming fundamentals, production-oriented code)
- Data Structures & Algorithms (strong problem-solving and algorithmic thinking)
- Git (basic understanding of version control and collaborative development)
- Generative AI (interest or experience with LLM-based applications and AI systems)
- Agentic AI (understanding of tool usage, multi-step planning and AI agent workflows)
- RAG (familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation workflows)
- Data Engineering (understanding of data processing and scalable pipelines)
- Debugging
Competencies:
- Strong interest in software engineering, AI and data-driven systems
- Immediate joiners preferred
- Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, real-time data processing and streaming systems (advantageous)
