Job Description

Google is hiring Data Center Technician Interns for its first Data Center Intern program in India. The opportunity is open to students pursuing a Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or higher education in technical fields such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines. The internship is intended for candidates with an anticipated 2028 graduation date who can commit to a 12-week, full-time internship starting in summer 2027. Interns can work on server and network infrastructure, equipment deployments, repairs, upgrades, decommissioning, cabling, Linux troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Work on server and network infrastructure, equipment deployments, repairs, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Cabling & Hardware Operations: Manage data center cabling.
• System Maintenance: Perform Linux troubleshooting and infrastructure maintenance.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or higher education in Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical discipline. Anticipated graduation date of 2028.

Experience: Experience with installing a network or Linux systems. Authorized to work in India.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Experience with installing a network or Linux systems.

Competencies:

• Practical knowledge of Linux and networking.
• Experience with Linux installation, systems administration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of hardware architecture, maintenance, and repair.
