Job Description
For the Google Recruitment 2026 drive, the gTech Ads team is looking for a Product Support Engineer who will apply subject matter expertise in Google’s AI-driven ad products. The focus will be on Performance Max, understanding intricate functionalities to provide guidance and effectively troubleshoot complex issues. You will analyze data and insights to create action plans, solving issues at the root cause, and developing automation tools for diagnostics and debugging. Partnering directly with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you will continuously improve the client journey and product adoption.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Expert Troubleshooting: Apply deep subject matter expertise in Google’s AI-driven ad products (focusing on Performance Max) to provide accurate guidance and troubleshooting.
- Tool Development: Develop and implement automation tools for diagnostics and debugging to streamline processes and enhance support efficiency.
- Customer Service: Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service, resolving issues with Google’s advertisers, Sales teams, agencies, and partners.
- Root Cause Analysis: Analyze data and insights to build action plans that solve issues at the root cause, focusing on operational improvements and account reviews.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to own and continuously improve the client journey.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Solid professional experience with data/SQL and web technologies.
Competencies:
- Ability and willingness to work non-standard working hours in line with global customer requirements.
- Experience in business analysis, conducting analytics, developing dashboards, and making strategic recommendations.
- Background working in technical product support, cloud support, quality engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Hands-on experience using Google Ads or other online advertising solutions within the media/tech landscape.
- Experience in technical troubleshooting or customer support in a tech organization, particularly translating technical concepts to non-technical and executive audiences.
- Excellent customer-first and empathetic mindset with the ability to own end-to-end solutions.
