Job Description
For the Google Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a Security Engineer who will work on a broad set of efforts focusing on scaling and automating security infrastructure and processes. You will collaborate with Facilities Management to create innovative security strategies and investigate breaches. You will play a vital role in designing infrastructure, providing security expertise to various Google engineering teams, and establishing controls to protect all of Google’s environments across mobile and cloud platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Design: Design infrastructure and drive its implementation to protect Google networks and enterprise systems.
- Expert Guidance: Provide targeted security expertise and guidance to a diverse set of Google engineering and business teams.
- Security Reviews: Conduct rigorous security reviews of core corporate and production infrastructure.
- Tool Development: Build security tools and processes for critical infrastructure protection, monitoring, and automated remediation.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive enterprise-focused security improvements to Google products and services, evolving authentication and access infrastructure.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, B.E/B.Tech, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: 1 year of experience in responding to security alerts and incidents.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Experience in identity management or operating systems such as Chrome OS, Linux, etc.
- Experience programming in Go, Python, C/C++, or Java.
Competencies:
- Prior experience in a security-oriented role or in server operations.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, security measurement, and security observability.
- Deep knowledge of OS internals and platform security.
