Job Description
Google is officially hiring for the Software Engineer II position within the Google Cloud division in Bangalore. This role is for versatile engineers who can handle information at a massive scale and are enthusiastic about solving complex problems across the full-stack, from distributed computing to artificial intelligence. You will be part of a specific project critical to Google’s infrastructure needs, writing high-quality product or system development code and performing rigorous code reviews. The role involves managing project priorities and deliverables while maintaining a focus on large-scale system design and distributed computing, as well as triaging and debugging complex system issues. Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions for Google Cloud.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient code and maintain system documentation, conducting peer code reviews and providing feedback based on Google’s style guidelines.
- Issue Resolution: Triage and resolve complex system issues by analyzing hardware/network impacts.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redefine AI and infrastructure capabilities.
- Optimization: Optimize software for massive scale, reliability, and velocity.
- Project Management: Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a technical field (or equivalent practical experience). Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field.
Experience: At least 1 year of professional software development experience.
