Job Description

For the Volvo Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a Graduate Apprentice Trainee responsible for supporting daily production operations through effective data management and continuous process improvement. The role focuses on learning and applying Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate MURI (overburden), MURA (unevenness), and MUDA (waste). You will manage live-time production data, coordinate with Team Leaders, and support video study analysis to optimize work methods. The position requires a proactive mindset to identify abnormalities through daily Gemba walks.

Responsibilities

As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee at Volvo, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Process Improvement: Assisting in identifying and eliminating M3MU (Muri, Mura, Muda) within the assembly line.
  • Data Management: Managing live-time production data and ensuring accurate maintenance of KPI/PI records.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data related to ANDON triggers and quality remarks.
  • Optimization: Supporting video study analysis to optimize work methods and reduce cycle time.
  • Safety & Quality: Reporting unsafe conditions, assisting in risk assessment, and supporting IMQ (In-Process Quality) teams.
  • Documentation: Tracking WIP vehicles and ensuring proper documentation flow.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Volvo Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
  • Academic Score: Minimum 60% marks in graduation.
  • Mandatory Skills:
    • Familiarity with Lean Tools (5S, Kaizen, M3MU elimination).
    • Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze production and quality data.
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
