Job Description

HCLTech is offering a Work Integrated Learning Program (WILP) for Graduate Trainees within their advanced core engineering, analytics, and operational innovation teams. This structured corporate track allows candidates to gain rich industry experience while accelerating their career path. The program targets passionate, high-potential structural graduates with a Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, or allied production streams from the 2025 and 2026 graduating batches.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Must possess a 3-year full-time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or other closely related mechanical/production streams. Open exclusively to candidates belonging to the graduating batches of 2025 and 2026. Must have secured an aggregate score of 60% or higher consistently throughout their academic history.

Experience: Freshers

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity or functional exposure to at least one industry-standard CAD design software platform (such as Creo, CATIA, SolidWorks, NX (UG), or AutoCAD).
  • Good core conceptual understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), mechanical drafting standards, and baseline manufacturing processes (including sheet-metal fabrication, machining, welding, and structural plastics).
  • Strong baseline fundamentals in the Strength of Materials, Machine Design concepts, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and general Manufacturing Technology.
  • Familiarity with core design risk principles such as DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFMA.
  • Inherent ability to calculate basic structural metrics manually (including stress calculations, point loads, and stacks tolerances).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and process technical 2D blueprints, detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs), and complex design documentation.
  • Basic understanding of modern corporate product design phases, New Product Development (NPD) architectures, and internal change management operations (such as ECN/ECO workflows).
