Job Description
As a Software Engr I at Honeywell Connected Aero, you will be an active and integral member of a team designing, developing, testing, and integrating highly complex software functions. You will contribute to achieving team goals, generate innovative solutions, and work on both development and testing of moderate to complex systems. This role is ideal for B.E/B.Tech graduates looking to build a career in aerospace software development.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Design & Development: Be part of a team that designs, develops, tests, and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Connected Aero.
- Goal Achievement: Be an active and integral member of a team working to achieve the completion of goals.
- Innovative Solutions: Generate innovative solutions in work situations, trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Must possess a B.E/B.Tech degree.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in C/C++, Python, Java, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Web technologies in the development and testing of moderate to complex systems.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Java
- Solid understanding of database fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
- Front-End Development: React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Back-End Development: Oracle, Java, SQLite
- Web Design & UI/UX: Proficiency in tools that create responsive and interactive designs
- Development Tools & OS: VS Code, Microsoft Visual Studio; Windows 10 & 11, Windows 2019 Server, Linux
- Cybersecurity: Knowledge on Coverity and BDH issues & analysis; awareness and experience in secure coding practices
Competencies:
- GIS Data formats and GIS Tools and libraries (good to have)
- Experience in building or applying AI/ML techniques to improve productivity is advantageous
- Thrives in a demanding work environment and can work on local or international assignments as needed
- Effectively performs System and Integration Testing independently
- Ability to code in multiple programming languages and prototype applications quickly
- Quick learner with excellent communication abilities
- Experience in the Aerospace domain is highly advantageous
