Job Description

As a Software Engineer I at Honeywell Aerospace, you will work on cutting-edge technologies supporting flight management systems, environmental control systems, and engine control systems. You will design, develop, and test moderately complex software systems using Oracle, Java, and web technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Development: Design, develop, and test moderately complex software systems using Oracle, Java, and web technologies.
  • Testing: Perform system and integration testing independently, ensuring robust delivery.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features.
  • Production Support: Debug and resolve production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and guidelines, including DO-200B (preferred).

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or MCA.

Experience: 0 to 1 years of experience in software engineering. Freshers with strong project backgrounds are eligible.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Core Java and a basic understanding of Spring Boot.
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with HTML, JSP, API development, JavaScript, React JS, and jQuery.
  • Working knowledge of testing methodologies for Oracle databases, web applications, and APIs.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools and SDLC processes.

Competencies:

  • Experience in the Aerospace domain is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of DO-200B standards is a significant plus.
