Job Description
For the Honeywell Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a versatile Automation Test Engineer. The role involves extensive work with Linux platforms and automation frameworks like Robot Framework and Playwright. You will be responsible for verifying and validating on-premises and embedded products. This position is unique as it blends software automation (Cloud/API) with hardware/embedded testing (Arduino/Raspberry Pi/Sensors). You will work in a diverse global team environment to ensure high-quality software verification.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Automation Frameworks: Developing automation scripts using Python, Groovy, TypeScript, or C#.
- Testing Scope: Hands-on testing of Cloud (Azure), On-premises, and Mobile applications.
- Embedded Testing: Troubleshooting embedded test system environments and working with hardware controllers, cameras, and sensors.
- API & Performance: Conducting NFR testing using SOAP UI, JMeter, Postman and simulating protocols like WebSocket & TCP/IP.
- CI/CD Integration: Leveraging Jenkins and GitHub for continuous testing and integration.
- Methodologies: Applying BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and TDD methodologies in test case execution.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science, Electronics, or IT.
Experience: 1 to 3 Years of relevant experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and Automation tools (Selenium, Robot Framework, Playwright).
- Strong expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Embedded Automation (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Bluetooth modules).
- Experience with Linux Ubuntu platforms.
Competencies:
- Background in building management/security apps (CCTV, Access Control).
- Experience from companies like Siemens, Bosch, or Johnson Controls.
- Familiarity with Agile tools like Rally, Jira, and Confluence.
