Job Description

For the IBM Internship 2026 program, the team is looking for interns to work on all phases of product development, including Design, Development, Test, and Support. You will analyze product requirements, determine the best design course, and implement solutions across the entire product development life cycle. This role provides exposure to core systems technologies, including Operating Systems (Unix/Linux Internals) , Virtualization (Red Hat OpenShift) , and Microservices Architecture. You will interface with development and product management teams globally.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Product Development: working on design, coding, and testing of IBM Systems products.
  • System Analysis: Analyzing product requirements and determining the best design approach.
  • Cloud Technologies: working with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker for deployment environments.
  • Core Systems: developing solutions for Operating Systems, Firmware, and Storage Software.
  • Validation: Participating in the validation and support of IBM Systems products.
  • Collaboration: Working effectively in a global team environment across different geographies.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or relevant fields.

Experience: Freshers are eligible

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Strong Systems Software Programming skills in C, C++, Java, Python, or GoLang
  • Deep knowledge of Operating Systems Concepts (Unix/Linux internals).
  • Strong grasp of Data Structures and Algorithms.
  • Experience with Virtualization and Cloud Computing (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker).

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Web UI Frameworks (React JS), DevOps, and RESTful web services.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and Data Science.
  • Experience with Ansible, SQL, and Databases.
