Job Description
As a Quality Engineer-Automation at IBM, you will specialize in creating automated testing solutions for IT systems and applications. The role involves understanding testing requirements, designing optimized test scenarios, automating test execution, and integrating testing into broader software delivery processes. A major focus will be improving the efficiency of testing through automation, including working with test data and test environments, and exposure to modern engineering practices like Agile, DevOps, and containerization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Automation Design & Implementation: Design and implement automated testing solutions for IT systems and applications.
- Process Streamlining: Develop automation that streamlines software testing processes.
- Scenario Optimization: Create optimized test scenarios using appropriate test automation tools and technologies.
- Automated Execution: Develop automation for executing software tests with minimal manual intervention.
- Maintenance: Maintain and improve existing automated testing solutions.
- Test Data Management: Automate test data management processes to support reliable test execution.
- Environment Setup: Develop automation for test environment setup and management.
- Integration: Integrate testing automation into broader delivery automation workflows.
- Methodology Support: Support software delivery processes using modern Agile and DevOps practices.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria
