Job Description

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Intern will join Icertis's Quality Engineering Team and contribute to software quality activities across the development lifecycle. This position emphasizes test automation and programming, with Python mentioned as a core technology and AI tools being part of the testing approach. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining exposure to modern software development and testing practices while contributing to enterprise software solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Automated Tests: Assist in designing and implementing automated tests using Python and AI tools.
  • Defect Identification: Execute test cases and identify software defects.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed bug and test reports.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with developers to improve code quality and performance.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Methodologies and Tools: Learn and apply modern testing methodologies and tools.
  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing and load testing, helping optimize system efficiency.
  • Documentation: Document test plans, testing procedures, and results.
  • Test Environments: Assist in creating and maintaining test environments.
  • Project Support: Support the team in completing project milestones and deadlines.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Pursuing a BTech degree in Computer Science or a related field. Recently graduated candidates can also apply.

Experience: Freshers.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Python programming
  • Strong knowledge or exposure to AI tools
  • Basic knowledge of database management systems is preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is an advantage
