Job Description
Infineon is hiring for the position of Assistant Engineer in Bangalore. Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech qualification in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field and 0–3 years of experience can apply for this opportunity. The role focuses on semiconductor validation and characterization, including microcontroller and System-on-Chip (SoC) products, analog, digital and mixed-signal IPs, bench testing, FPGA validation, post-silicon validation, and test automation. Candidates should have hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators. Knowledge of C, Python, and LabVIEW is also relevant, with LabVIEW listed as a strong advantage. The Assistant Engineer will work with silicon validation and characterization teams to develop test lists and automation suites, validate designs before and after silicon production, troubleshoot issues with cross-functional teams, and automate bench equipment for characterization testing. Roles and Responsibilities
- Test Development: Work with silicon validation and characterization teams to develop test lists and automation suites.
- Validation: Validate designs before and after silicon production (Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon validation, FPGA validation).
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues with cross-functional teams (Silicon Debugging).
- Test Automation: Automate bench equipment for characterization testing (Test Equipment Automation).
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field (B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech).
Experience: 0–3 years of experience. Understanding of microcontroller and SoC products.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Bench characterization of analog, digital, and mixed-signal IPs
- Hands-on experience with SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
- C and Python (good understanding)
- Electronic circuits (good knowledge)
- Regulators and reference measurements (understanding)
