Job Description
Infineon Technologies is hiring for the position of Young Graduate Trainee in Bangalore BTP. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with 0–3 years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field. The role focuses on silicon validation, characterization, FPGA validation, post-silicon testing, test automation, Python, C, and LabVIEW. Candidates will work with silicon validation and characterization teams to develop automated test solutions, perform bench testing, debug hardware and software issues, and support the successful execution of semiconductor projects. This is a specialized opportunity for candidates interested in the semiconductor industry and careers involving microcontrollers, SoCs, electronic circuits, FPGA, silicon validation, test equipment, and hardware automation.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Requirements & Test Development: Interface with silicon validation and characterization teams to understand testing requirements for different revisions of semiconductor silicon, and develop and maintain test lists for silicon validation.
- Automated Test Suites: Build automated test suites involving software and firmware.
- Validation: Perform FPGA-based pre-silicon validation and post-silicon validation and characterization.
- Debugging: Work with cross-functional teams to identify and debug hardware and software issues.
- Test Automation: Develop Python-based automation for laboratory bench testing and use LabVIEW for test equipment automation and characterization activities.
- Testing Support: Support silicon validation and characterization testing, and work with analog, digital, and mixed-signal IPs during characterization.
- Equipment Usage: Use electronic measurement equipment such as SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Coordination & Communication: Coordinate schedules and project activities with cross-functional teams, communicate test results, issues, and project status to relevant stakeholders, and support project execution and engineering validation activities.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
Experience: 0–3 years of relevant experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Understanding of microcontroller and SoC products
- Experience or understanding of bench characterization and silicon validation
- Exposure to analog, digital, and mixed-signal IPs
- Good understanding of C and Python
- Experience or interest in automating semiconductor and electronic testing
- Knowledge of LabVIEW is a strong advantage
- Good understanding of electronic circuits, regulators, and reference measurements
- Hands-on experience with SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
- Understanding of FPGA validation is relevant to the role
