Job Description
This full-time opportunity in Chennai is for candidates with 1–2 years of professional software development experience and a B.E/B.Tech qualification. The role focuses on modern full-stack web application development and backend engineering. Candidates should have hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core, React, JavaScript or TypeScript, RESTful APIs, SQL and relational databases. Knowledge of GCP, Docker, CI/CD, JFrog Artifactory, microservices and AI-assisted development tools is an added advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
- Frontend Development: Build responsive web applications and reusable React UI components; use JavaScript and/or TypeScript for frontend development.
- API Development: Design, develop, integrate and troubleshoot RESTful APIs.
- Database Management: Develop data-access components and write efficient SQL queries; work with PostgreSQL, AlloyDB or equivalent relational databases.
- Code Quality: Write clean, reusable, maintainable, secure and testable code; develop and maintain unit and integration tests; debug application problems and perform root-cause analysis.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Use Git or Bitbucket for branching, pull requests and code reviews; work with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent repositories; participate in application build, deployment and CI/CD activities.
- Engineering Practices: Follow engineering practices for security, reliability, performance and maintainability.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, Product Owners, DevOps/Platform teams and other engineering groups; participate in Agile activities.
- Continuous Learning: Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly for productivity, testing, documentation and troubleshooting; continuously learn and adopt relevant technologies and engineering practices.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech degree is required.
Experience: 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong programming knowledge in C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
- Hands-on experience developing web applications using React
- Good knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, AlloyDB or equivalent relational databases
- Good understanding of SQL and database design
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket or similar source-control systems
- Understanding of unit testing, debugging, exception handling and application logging
- Good knowledge of HTTP, JSON and authentication/authorization concepts
Competencies:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud application hosting (Preferred)
- JFrog Artifactory or similar artifact management tools (Preferred)
- Git-based CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments (Preferred)
- Docker and containerized applications (Preferred)
- Microservices and distributed application architecture (Preferred)
- Entity Framework Core or another ORM framework (Preferred)
- Secure coding and application security practices (Preferred)
- GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools (Preferred)
