Job Description
Siemens is offering a great career opportunity for fresh graduates as an Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) Associate at their Bangalore development center. This role is perfectly suited for B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, and BCA freshers or junior professionals with a strong analytical mind and a passion for automation, artificial intelligence, and software scripting. You will work within the Global Business Services wing on modern automated architectures, assisting software engineering teams in building, configuring, and optimizing automated document processing pipelines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Automation Support: Assisting software engineering teams in building, configuring, and optimizing automated document processing pipelines using standard OCR engines.
- Configuration: Configuring document ingestion layouts and validation rules within tools like Otera AI and ABBYY FlexiCapture.
- Scripting: Writing clean, performant scripts in Python and JavaScript to handle advanced text customization, parsing logic, and business-critical exceptions.
- Quality Assurance: Reviewing extracted data feeds to execute quality checks, pinpoint manual failures, and ensure enterprise compliance metrics.
- Collaboration: Collaborating regularly with multi-functional teams to identify structural bottlenecks and systematically minimize manual tasks.
- Deployment Support: Assisting with rigorous testing, solution debugging, and deployment workflow optimizations.
- Documentation: Maintaining up-to-date procedural and engineering documentation for custom configurations and continuous code enhancement.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience. Highly motivated freshers with a profound interest in modern enterprise automation tools are strongly encouraged to apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages—specifically JavaScript and Python
- Basic familiarity with Optical Character Recognition (OCR), automated data extraction, document classification, or general information parsing concepts
- Fundamental competence in Microsoft Excel and basic structured data analytical operations
Competencies:
- Keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving acumen, analytical reasoning, seamless workplace communication skills
- Prior exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) workflows or pipeline automation environments
- High-level conceptual understanding of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) logic used in modern cognitive document processing architectures
- Familiarity with processing both structured databases and unformatted/unstructured document collections
- Basic understanding of programmatic interfaces (APIs) and downstream systems integration
