Job Description

Intentwise is actively seeking forward-thinking engineering talent for the position of AI-Native Software Engineer in India. Candidates with B.E / B.Tech degrees (including fresh engineering graduates and developers with 0 to 2 years of experience) who are adept at leveraging modern AI tools across the software development lifecycle are encouraged to apply. Roles and Responsibilities
- Development: Build applications, scalable APIs, third-party integrations, autonomous AI agents, and data pipelines.
- AI Integration: Effectively guide AI development tools throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Code Quality: Review AI-generated code rigorously for quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Testing: Write unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end automated tests to ensure high software reliability.
- Ownership: Take full technical ownership of production code from conception to deployment.
- Collaboration: Collaborate actively with product managers, domain experts, and engineering leads in code review sessions.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related technical branches.
Experience: 0 to 2 years of software engineering experience. High-potential recent graduates with solid technical fundamentals are welcome to apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience utilizing modern AI tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI code assistants) to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation.
- Practical experience in one or more core languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C#, Go, or Kotlin.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), Git version control workflows, and unit/integration testing principles.
- Active participation in internal or external AI hackathons (candidates should be prepared to discuss the project, problem solved, and individual contribution).
Competencies:
- Experience working with LLM APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), tool calling, and structured outputs (Good-to-Have).
- Exposure to developing AI agents and automated data workflows (Good-to-Have).
- Frontend or backend web development experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, or FastAPI (Good-to-Have).
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Docker containers (Good-to-Have).
- Track record of building independent side projects or personal software products (Good-to-Have).
