Job Description
IQVIA is seeking Software Engineer Interns for its Product Engineering team in Bengaluru. This full-time, hybrid internship is for students or recent graduates interested in software engineering, AI, automation testing, APIs, cloud platforms, data platforms, and enterprise applications. Interns will work with experienced professionals to build, test, maintain, and optimize enterprise software, gaining exposure to Python, Generative AI, Agentic AI, REST APIs, FastAPI, microservices, and cloud platforms. The role combines software development and quality engineering, involving backend component development, AI-powered solutions, automated test frameworks, functional/integration testing, defect analysis, and root cause resolution. A significant Generative AI component requires knowledge or coursework in Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering, RAG, AI Agents, and Multi-Agent Systems, with exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock being valuable. Strong fundamentals in Python, OOP, DSA, SQL, REST APIs, and software testing are essential. The internship offers hands-on experience and mentorship.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Work alongside experienced architects, developers, and quality engineers to build, test, maintain, and optimize enterprise software. Develop backend components and build AI-powered solutions.
- Quality Engineering: Create automated test frameworks, execute functional and integration testing, analyze defects, and work with developers to identify and resolve root causes.
- Generative AI Development: Contribute to AI-powered solutions, applying knowledge of Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, and Multi-Agent Systems.
- API Integration: Engage in API integration, working with JSON and XML, and utilizing tools like Postman.
- Database Validation: Perform database validation using strong SQL skills across various relational database systems.
- Agile Collaboration: Work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment, utilizing tools such as Git and Jira.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Applications, or related technical disciplines.
Experience: Internship opportunity (strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging skills; good written/verbal communication).
