Job Description

For the Geekay Recruitment 2026 drive, the company is seeking Junior Developers to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. You will be responsible for designing and implementing backend services, APIs, and microservices while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong learning attitude and proficiency in both frontend (Angular) and backend (Java/Spring Boot or PHP) development. You will also handle database management using SQL and ensure optimal performance through rigorous troubleshooting and testing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in PHP, Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
  • Backend Development: Design and implement backend services, APIs, and microservices for web applications.
  • Database Management: Develop and maintain SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), writing complex queries for data handling.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and senior developers to implement features based on business requirements.
  • Troubleshooting & Testing: Identify, debug, and fix codebase issues; assist in unit and integration testing to ensure code quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation for software designs and processes.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Freshers up to 2 years of experience.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java (Core Java, OOP concepts) and basic knowledge of Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with PHP & Angular for web development.
  • Good understanding of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience or familiarity with version control systems like Git is a plus.
