Job Description
As a Data Analyst Entry at Labcorp, you will contribute independently to the development, testing, and deployment of software solutions for the data engineering team. This full-time role involves supporting data preparation and analysis for Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics applications, working with data integration tools, ETL processes, and data pipeline architectures. You will also support innovation and technology proof-of-concept projects, combining data engineering, software development, analytics, and automation.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Solution Contribution: Contribute independently to the development, testing, and deployment of software solutions for the data engineering team.
- Application Requirements: Collaborate with team members to understand application requirements and design.
- Application Development: Contribute to application development activities.
- Data Preparation & Analysis: Support data preparation and analysis for Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics applications.
- Innovation Initiatives: Support innovation initiatives involving process automation.
- Proof-of-Concept Projects: Contribute to technology proof-of-concept projects.
- Application Optimization: Support application optimization activities.
- Data Pipeline Work: Work with data integration tools, ETL processes, and data pipeline architectures.
- Data-Driven Initiatives: Support data-driven technology initiatives within the organization.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Technology. Master’s degree in Computer Science (preferred).
Experience: Current or prior Labcorp internship experience. 6 months of experience working with data integration tools, ETL processes, and data pipeline architectures (preferred).
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency or familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript
- Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Familiarity with data integration tools
- Understanding of ETL processes
- Understanding of data pipeline architectures
