Are you an engineering graduate interested in aircraft structures, aerospace engineering, and materials engineering? Accenture is hiring for the role of Materials Engineer in Bengaluru. Candidates with 0–2 years of experience and the required educational qualification can apply for this opportunity. This position is part of Accenture's Engineering Services and involves supporting material selection, testing, analysis, quality assurance, documentation, and cross-functional engineering activities. The role is suitable for candidates at the beginning of their engineering careers who want to build experience in aerospace-related engineering projects. As a Materials Engineer, you will work on selecting, developing, and optimizing materials so that engineering components meet their required performance, safety, durability, and sustainability objectives. The position has a strong connection with Aircraft Structures, requiring understanding of how material properties influence structural integrity and performance, and supporting engineering teams in solving material-related problems. The work can involve analyzing material behavior under different environmental conditions, supporting material testing, documenting results, and collaborating with engineers from different disciplines. This role provides exposure to the complete engineering lifecycle for graduate or early-career engineers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Build technical knowledge and support the engineering team on assigned projects.
- Problem Solving: Participate in engineering problem-solving discussions.
- Testing & Validation: Support material testing and validation activities; assist in documenting material testing results.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate reports to support transparency and traceability.
- Analysis: Analyze and interpret information related to material behavior.
- Material Optimization: Support the selection and optimization of materials for engineering applications.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams; help integrate material solutions into broader system and structural designs.
- Quality Assurance: Support quality assurance activities related to material testing and validation.
- Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve material performance; support initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency and engineering effectiveness; participate in continuous improvement activities; contribute to practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: 15 years of full-time education is required.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience is required.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency or working knowledge of Aircraft Structures
- Strong understanding of material properties and their effect on structural integrity and performance (Material Science)
- Ability to analyze and interpret data related to material behavior under different environmental conditions (Data Analysis)
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards associated with material testing and validation (Quality)
- Exposure to Aerospace & Defense or aircraft manufacturing is beneficial (Aerospace)
- Knowledge of aircraft structural analysis is an advantage (Structural Analysis)
