Job Description
Accenture is seeking a Materials Engineer in Bengaluru for candidates with 0-2 years of experience in aircraft structures, aerospace, and materials engineering. This role is part of Accenture's Engineering Services, focusing on material selection, testing, analysis, quality assurance, documentation, and cross-functional engineering activities within aerospace-related projects. As a Materials Engineer, you will develop and optimize materials to meet performance, safety, durability, and sustainability goals for engineering components, with a strong emphasis on Aircraft Structures. The position involves understanding material properties, supporting engineering teams in problem-solving, analyzing material behavior under various conditions, testing, documenting results, and collaborating across disciplines, offering exposure to the complete engineering lifecycle for early-career engineers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Engineering Support: Build technical knowledge and support the engineering team on assigned projects; Participate in engineering problem-solving discussions; Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams; Help integrate material solutions into broader system and structural designs; Support initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency and engineering effectiveness; Participate in continuous improvement activities; Contribute to practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Material Analysis & Testing: Support material testing and validation activities; Assist in documenting material testing results; Maintain accurate reports to support transparency and traceability; Analyze and interpret information related to material behavior; Support the selection and optimization of materials for engineering applications; Support quality assurance activities related to material testing and validation; Identify opportunities to improve material performance.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: 15 years of full-time education is required.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience is required.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency or working knowledge of Aircraft Structures.
- Strong understanding of material properties and their effect on structural integrity and performance.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data related to material behavior under different environmental conditions.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards associated with material testing and validation.
Competencies:
- Exposure to Aerospace & Defense or aircraft manufacturing is beneficial.
- Knowledge of aircraft structural analysis is an advantage.
- Ability to participate in engineering problem-solving discussions and identify practical solutions.
- Ability to communicate technical information and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
