Job Description
For the Medpace Recruitment 2026 drive, the Information Technology team is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to work on Administrative Systems and the modernization of aging applications. You will be shaping a new team while gaining exposure to cutting-edge tools and cloud platforms. In this role, you will participate in the complete software development life-cycle (SDLC), from gathering requirements and designing architectures to testing, release, and maintenance. This position highly values strong attention to detail, a desire for process ownership, and a keen interest in implementing new technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Development: Design, modify, develop, and support robust software applications utilizing object-oriented programming (C#), databases (SQL), and web applications (ASP.NET).
- Requirements Gathering: Collect, analyze, and meticulously document user requirements.
- SDLC Execution: Create software applications by strictly following the software development life-cycle (requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance).
- Software Validation: Participate in the software validation process through the development, review, and execution of test plans, cases, and scripts.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members regarding projects, development tools, and procedures.
- Leadership Potential: Take advantage of potential future opportunities to lead software development projects.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Must hold a Bachelor's Degree specifically in Computer Science.
Experience: Entry-level candidates and freshers are highly encouraged to apply.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Experience or academic proficiency using technologies such as C#, Angular, Webservices, GraphQL, Git, and relational databases (SQL).
- Experience or familiarity with Entity Framework and Azure DevOps is highly advantageous.
- Strong theoretical or practical understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and release management.
- Prior exposure to modernizing systems to a cloud-based platform, specifically Microsoft Azure, is a major plus.
