Job Description

For the MetLife Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for an Associate to handle manual testing activities. You will communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders to define technical process documents and execute test plans. The role requires a solid understanding of SDLC & STLC (Software Development/Testing Life Cycle). You will be responsible for creating test scenarios, executing test cases, and managing defects using tools like Azure.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Test Planning: Collaborating with Business & Developers to develop comprehensive Test Plans.
  • Execution: Creating manual test scenarios/cases and executing them for Functional, Integration, System, UAT, and Regression testing.
  • Defect Management: Logging defects and maintaining defect management using tools like Azure.
  • Analysis: Performing requirement analysis and ambiguity reviews to ensure clear testing goals.
  • Reporting: Managing test reporting, risk & mitigation planning, and supporting post-release reviews.
  • Mainframe Exposure: Working with Mainframe & Web-based applications.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in a relevant field.

Experience: 0 – 2 years of experience in Manual Testing.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Manual Testing (Writing test cases, scenarios).
  • Experience in Testing Methodologies (Waterfall / Agile).
  • Proficiency in Defect Management tools (specifically Azure).
  • Exposure to Mainframe & Web-based applications.
  • Basic knowledge of Java.

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction skills, and logical reasoning.
