Job Description
MetLife Recruitment 2026 is hiring for the Jr. Software Platform Engineer position in Pune, Maharashtra. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline and 1–4 years of experience in software development, CRM platforms or enterprise application support can apply. The role focuses on Salesforce development, customization, administration, security and enterprise application support. Candidates will work with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Salesforce Flow and other declarative platform capabilities while collaborating with senior developers, architects and business stakeholders. A Salesforce Certification is required for this position. Knowledge of the Salesforce security model and principles is also specifically required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Salesforce Development: Support the development, customization and enhancement of Salesforce applications based on business and technical requirements.
- Configuration Management: Manage configuration items while minimizing unnecessary Salesforce customization.
- Solution Building: Build and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, SOQL and declarative platform capabilities.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with senior team members to implement new features and resolve defects.
- Administration: Perform basic Salesforce administrative activities; Set up users and update roles, profiles and permission sets.
- Reporting: Generate reports and maintain dashboards.
- Data Management: Support routine Salesforce data updates; Support data imports, exports, validation, cleansing and data-quality activities.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot platform functionality, access and performance issues.
- Integration Support: Support Salesforce integration activities with other enterprise applications.
- Standards Adherence: Follow coding standards, security guidelines and governance processes.
- Agile Participation: Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
- Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, configuration details, support guides and release records.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver Salesforce solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Continuously improve knowledge of Salesforce technologies and emerging capabilities such as Agentforce.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience: 1–4 years of experience in software development, CRM platforms or enterprise application support. Foundational hands-on experience with Salesforce development and customization.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Apex (foundational hands-on experience)
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- SOQL
- Salesforce declarative capabilities (Flow, validation rules, reports, dashboards)
- Salesforce administration (users, profiles, roles, permission sets)
- Salesforce security model and principles
Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Salesforce Certification is required
- Willingness to learn and grow within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Knowledge of Salesforce security model and principles (Users and profiles, Roles and role hierarchy, Permission sets, Object-level access, Field-level security, Record-level access concepts, Salesforce security best practices)
- Salesforce Integration and API Skills (preferred: REST APIs, SOAP APIs, third-party system connectivity)
- Salesforce DevOps and Agile Skills (preferred: Git, version control, CI/CD fundamentals, Release management, Software development lifecycle, Agile and Scrum methodologies, Testing and defect resolution)
- Salesforce Agentforce (preferred)
- Salesforce Administrator certification (preferred)
- Salesforce Platform Developer certifications such as PD1 and PD2 (preferred)
- Exposure to Salesforce Sales Cloud or Service Cloud (preferred)
- Internship, academic project or professional experience supporting Salesforce implementations (preferred)
- Enterprise support and digital transformation knowledge (preferred)
