Job Description

For the Microsoft Apprentice 2026 program, the team is looking for candidates to establish and build data management solutions. You will integrate, govern, transform, and store data across distributed Azure cloud services. You will leverage tools like Azure Purview for data governance and Power BI for business intelligence. This role involves working on real-world scenarios to deliver actionable insights and secure data pipelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Data Governance: Implementing frameworks using Azure Purview to ensure consistency, compliance, and security.
  • Analytical Solutions: Designing and building analytical dashboards using Power BI and performing exploratory data analysis (EDA).
  • Data Integration: Integrating data from multiple sources (JSON, CSV, XML) and ensuring compatibility with analytical tools.
  • Workflow Optimization: Analyzing and resolving data quality issues and implementing Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC).
  • Collaboration: Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and presenting findings using visual storytelling.
  • SQL & Modeling: Writing and optimizing SQL queries and applying data modeling techniques (Star/Snowflake schema).

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related fields.

Experience: Candidates graduating in 2026. No active academic backlogs. Should not have held full-time employment prior to the apprenticeship. If previously completed an apprenticeship, a mandatory gap of 365 days is required.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with Azure Purview, Power BI, and Azure Synapse.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Data Modeling.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance practices and Metadata Management.
