Job Description

Microsoft is hiring for the position of Technology Consulting Intern in Hyderabad. Candidates currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field can apply for this internship opportunity. The role is designed for students interested in the intersection of technology, business, consulting, cloud services, customer requirements, and solution delivery. Interns will work under guidance while developing their understanding of Microsoft's technology offerings and how they can be applied to customer and partner needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Technology Consulting: Help customers or partners understand how technology can address business problems, bridging business requirements and technology capabilities.
  • Pre-Sales Activities: Contribute to the pre-sales process by understanding customer requirements, identifying relevant technology capabilities, and providing technical input.
  • Customer Requirements Definition: Use technology knowledge to understand and define customer and partner requirements and constraints (business objectives, technical capabilities, security expectations, etc.).
  • Cloud Adoption: Identify opportunities to expand or accelerate adoption and consumption of cloud and Microsoft technologies.
  • Risk Identification: Identify issues and risks and involve the appropriate customers, partners, project managers, or internal stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical requirements, project issues, and solution considerations clearly to customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Customer & Partner Relationships: Understand relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders, and contribute to understanding factors driving satisfaction or dissatisfaction.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field. Must have at least one semester or term remaining after completion of the internship.

Experience: Freshers / Students (0-0 years)

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, scalability, availability, security, identity and access management).

Competencies:

  • Preferred Certifications: Technical certifications relevant to the domain or service line (Azure, Security, Dynamics). Delivery Management certifications such as Scrum, Agile, Change Management, or Project Management.
  • Develop knowledge of Microsoft's intellectual property (IP) and learn how to use relevant IP to complete assigned project tasks.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
