Job Description

Netsmart is recruiting Software Engineers in Bengaluru for its 2026 drive. This full-time opportunity is for candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, possessing knowledge of programming, relational databases, SQL scripting, and cloud-based SaaS architectures. The Software Engineer will participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Responsibilities also cover root cause analysis, code reviews, technical problem-solving, and supporting software solutions for business requirements. A technical internship with a software company or healthcare organization is preferred. Engineers are expected to build knowledge of relevant clinical and financial workflows and be available for rotational on-call schedules outside standard business hours.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, planning, software design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Solution Design and Build: Design, build, and produce software solutions with support and guidance.
  • Workflow Knowledge: Build knowledge of relevant clinical and financial workflows and apply that knowledge in day-to-day work.
  • Testing and Analysis: Run software tests, review results, and perform root cause analysis to identify problems.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in project code reviews and provide technical input.
  • Technical Solutions: Identify, implement, and support technical solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Tool Adoption: Explore and adopt new tools to analyze and solve technical problems.
  • Quality Deliverables: Support assigned software engineering tasks while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • On-Call Availability: Be available outside standard business hours when required as part of a rotational on-call schedule.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Technical internship with a software company or healthcare organization preferred.
