Job Description
Netsmart is hiring for a Software Engineer position in Bengaluru, India. This is a full-time software engineering opportunity for candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience who have knowledge of programming, relational databases, SQL scripting and cloud-based SaaS architectures. The Software Engineer will participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software design, development, testing and deployment. The role also involves root cause analysis, code reviews, technical problem-solving and supporting software solutions for business requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, planning, software design, development, testing and deployment.
- Design, build and produce software solutions with support and guidance.
- Build knowledge of relevant clinical and financial workflows and apply that knowledge in day-to-day work.
- Run software tests, review results and perform root cause analysis to identify problems.
- Participate in project code reviews and provide technical input.
- Identify, implement and support technical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Explore and adopt new tools to analyze and solve technical problems.
- Support assigned software engineering tasks while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Be available outside standard business hours when required as part of a rotational on-call schedule.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of relevant programming languages and programming language syntax concepts (lexical, concrete, abstract syntax)
- Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling and SQL scripting
- Understanding of cloud-based SaaS architectures
Competencies:
- Aptitude to independently learn new technologies
- Ability to complete assigned work on time or ahead of schedule with strong quality
- A technical internship with a software company or healthcare organization is listed as a preferred qualification
