Job Description
Outmarket, the leading AI platform for insurance brokerages, is seeking a hands-on AI Software Engineer Intern to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to build real, customer-facing AI features and ship production-grade code in an AI-first startup environment. This role is remote-first and open to candidates based in the US or India. At Outmarket, you will not be building throwaway prototypes, but will work alongside our engineering team to ship production code that directly impacts our insurance customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Feature Building: Build and test features that utilize LLMs, structured data, and advanced document processing.
- Collaboration: Pair with experienced engineers to take tasks from initial idea to production-shipped status.
- Investigation: Investigate real customer data challenges and translate them into actionable product improvements.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Experience: Intern. Personal or academic projects involving LLMs or data pipelines (Bonus). Exposure to React, SQL, or cloud-based tooling (Bonus).
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Solid programming fundamentals with experience in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Competencies:
- A genuine curiosity about applied AI and a strong, proactive learning mindset.
