Job Description

For the Philips Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a Software Technologist I to participate in full software development processes. You will work with broader autonomy, challenging requirements, design, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical expert in specific areas, leading the creation of software designs and providing guidance on best practices. You will collaborate with senior team members to deliver high-quality software solutions and support DevOps in deploying software.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Participate in the full SDLC, working in pairing mode with team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (Unit, Integration, System tests) to ensure reliability.
  • Code Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and promote best practices.
  • Defect Resolution: Diagnose and resolve software defects by analyzing logs and implementing effective fixes.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and API specifications.
  • DevOps Support: Support DevOps in deploying software and monitoring performance metrics.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT. Master’s Degree is preferred. Vocational Education in IT with relevant experience.

Experience: No prior experience required for candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum 4 years of experience required for candidates with Vocational Education.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile Methodology.
  • Proficiency in API Design and Integration.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Software Test Automation.
  • Familiarity with Version Control Systems and Debugging.

Competencies:

  • Business acumen, continuous improvement mindset, and excellent analytical skills.
