PlayPower Labs Recruitment 2026 is hiring freshers for a Software Engineer position that is fully remote across India. The role is part of the Engineering department and is designed for candidates who want to build real products rather than only work on tutorial-based projects. PlayPower Labs develops software for leading EdTech companies and works on products involving advanced technology, education data, AI and personalized learning experiences. The Software Engineer role provides exposure to Angular, React, Java, Node.js, AI tools, AI agents and MCPs, along with secure software development and modern engineering practices. This opportunity is particularly suitable for freshers who have strong programming fundamentals, personal or academic projects and a willingness to learn quickly in a remote startup-style environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build product features using Angular/React and Java/Node.js.
- Review personal code and carefully review AI-generated code.
- Apply security-first thinking throughout the development lifecycle.
- Handle authentication, permissions and input validation appropriately.
- Use AI tools, agents, MCPs and automation for development, debugging and testing.
- Learn new technologies quickly and apply them to real product requirements.
- Contribute ideas and improvements to product and engineering workflows.
- Take ownership of assigned work and deliver with speed and quality.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: N/A
Experience: Freshers or early-career candidate interested in software engineering.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, APIs, databases and Git.
- Exposure to Angular or React.
- Exposure to Java or Node.js.
- Basic understanding of security, cloud and modern software engineering practices.
Competencies:
- Strong interest in UI/UX and building user-friendly products.
- Curiosity and the ability to learn and experiment with AI technologies.
- Basic understanding of application security (authentication/authorization, input validation, secrets management, dependency security, safe AI use, OWASP fundamentals, vulnerability scanning).
- Basic knowledge of cloud computing, Docker fundamentals, CI/CD concepts, automated software delivery.
- Ownership: Take responsibility for completing assigned work.
