This role is embedded directly within the core Equity Products division based in Mumbai. Designed specifically for ambitious freshers across various academic backgrounds, this internship acts as a fast-tracked gateway to structural product management, focusing on building new financial products from the ground up.
Roles and Responsibilities
- PRD Architecture & Refinement: Authoring, maintaining, and updating comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs). You will drive features entirely from early ideation stages through strict functional scoping up to production launch.
- Competitive Global Intelligence: Running rigorous competitive benchmarking and landscape intelligence mappings across both Indian domestic and global investment platforms, tracking software release cycles to capture actionable insights for the internal roadmap.
- Vendor Evaluation & Sourcing: Identifying, auditing, and validating high-performance external vendors for third-party dependent services including foundational financial data streams, KYC mechanisms, and transactional payment rails.
- End-to-End API & Service Integrations: Managing cross-functional communication pathways to successfully deploy and test third-party microservices into the live Upstox application structure.
- Ground-Level Analytical Wiring: Driving complex data analysis, coordinating operational dependencies, and refining early-stage ideas into tangible, production-ready product feature specifications.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Open to highly analytical minds possessing a B.E., B.Tech, MBA, or any undergraduate degree with strong academic standing.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Very hands-on with modern Artificial Intelligence ecosystems, using AI tools daily to conduct rapid research, synthesize early prototypes, draft structural documents, and maximize overall operational efficiency.
Competencies:
- The capacity to take a loosely defined problem space and drive it forward independently from definition to absolute resolution without continuous managerial oversight.
- Exhibit an autonomous drive to find precise answers when encountering unfamiliar domain spaces or technical hurdles.
- A sharp, intuitive product sense combined with a genuine, authentic curiosity regarding the inner mechanics of retail investing products, trading workflows, and wealth management architectures.
- Excellent written communication skills, with an explicit ability to decompose ambiguous customer problems into crystal-clear, highly readable technical definitions.
