PTC is hiring for the position of Cloud Service Operations Engineer, Associate in Pune and Gurgaon. Candidates with B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA qualifications can apply. This role is designed for entry-level candidates who want to work with PTC Windchill PLM, cloud environments, Linux, Windows Server, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle Database, SQL, and scripting. The position involves supporting the deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrading, troubleshooting, and operational management of Windchill applications hosted in cloud environments. Candidates will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and help ensure reliable service delivery and compliance with operational standards. As a Cloud Service Operations Engineer, Associate, you will support PTC Windchill applications running in cloud environments. The role covers several stages of enterprise application operations, including installation, deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, monitoring, and customer support. This is an entry-level opportunity for candidates who want to understand how large enterprise applications are operated after development, sitting at the intersection of cloud operations, application administration, system administration, troubleshooting, databases, scripting, and technical support.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Application Deployment: Assist with the deployment of PTC Windchill applications. Work with build packages, CCDs, CPS packages, Maintenance Releases, temporary patches, and rehosting activities. Validate application deployments after installation or changes. Identify and resolve basic deployment issues.
- Configuration & Administration: Configure Windchill and supporting components according to PTC Cloud standards. Perform routine system administration activities. Carry out log cleanup and cache management. Support index rebuilding and application health checks. Validate application and supporting services.
- Upgrades & Maintenance: Assist with Windchill version upgrades. Support CPS and Maintenance Release updates. Perform post-upgrade validation.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate application, publishing, and deployment issues. Escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers when necessary. Support customer change requests and scheduled maintenance activities. Support production operations and service delivery.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain technical documentation and deployment records. Create and maintain knowledge articles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Help maintain reliable cloud-based Windchill services.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Freshers can apply according to the supplied job details.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of PTC Windchill PLM (PLM).
- Basic understanding of cloud concepts; AWS/Azure knowledge is an advantage (Cloud).
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems (Linux).
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments (Windows Server).
- Familiarity with Apache and Tomcat (Application Servers).
- Basic knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL (Database).
- Basic Shell or PowerShell scripting knowledge (Scripting).
- Understanding of application deployment and troubleshooting (Deployment).
