Job Description
The QA Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the quality of Dassault Systèmes' complex simulation applications within the SIMULIA product organization. This role requires understanding software quality assurance and engineering simulation, involving manual GUI testing, regression testing, and automation with Python.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Feedback: Review enhancement specifications and provide early feedback on requirements.
- Test Planning: Create detailed test plans for new and existing product functionality.
- Functionality Evaluation: Evaluate simulation software functionality against defined requirements.
- Execution & Documentation: Execute test plans and document test results.
- Regression Testing: Integrate appropriate tests into regression test suites and run them across supported operating systems and platforms.
- Defect Analysis: Analyze regression test failures and identify potential defects.
- Bug Reporting: Report software bugs and track their resolution.
- Manual Testing: Perform manual GUI testing.
- Automated Testing: Develop and execute automated tests.
- Documentation: Document test procedures, test cases, and testing activities.
- Issue Resolution: Work closely with development teams to investigate and resolve issues.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physics R&D and application management teams.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with product management and validation teams.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to improving software quality and testing processes.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering, with a focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation. M.E/M.Tech-level research or academic project experience in CFD is preferred.
Experience: 0–1 years for the position, listed overall as 0-3 years.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of CFD simulation and relevant engineering concepts
- Experience with simulation tools such as PowerFLOW, Abaqus, Fluent, or CFX is relevant
- Good understanding of Python
- Understanding of automation tools and testing environments
- Comfortable working in Linux and Windows environments
- Understanding of manual testing, GUI testing, regression testing, and automation

- Ability to collaborate with distributed and cross-functional teams
- Self-starter capable of working independently with limited guidance
