Job Description
For the Qualcomm Recruitment 2026 drive, the engineering team is looking for an Associate Engineer to assist and support the design, development, creation, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software. Working under supervision, you will analyze user needs, design small software features, and perform unit testing and minor debugging fixes. You will collaborate closely with other members inside the project team to accomplish project objectives, ensure the quality of code through reviews and regression tests, and write clear technical documentation for ongoing software projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Software Development: Apply software knowledge to assist in the design, development, and validation of embedded and cloud edge applications.
- Requirement Analysis: Analyze user needs and exact software requirements to design and implement small software features for products and systems.
- Coding & Testing: Participate in coding, unit testing, minor debugging fixes, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in performing rigorous code reviews, regression tests, and the triaging of issues to ensure high code quality.
- Documentation: Write accurate and comprehensive technical documentation for software projects.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members, utilizing problem-solving and prioritization skills to complete tasks involving multiple steps.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech), Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (B.Sc).
Experience: Candidates must have 1+ years of relevant professional experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- 1+ year of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 1+ year of experience working with Database Management Software (DBMS).
- 1+ year of experience with API development and integration.
- 1+ year of work experience using Source Code Management Systems like Git or Perforce.
Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information and document technical processes clearly.
