Job Description:
For the Comcast Recruitment 2026 drive, the company is seeking a Quality and Automation Engineer 1 who will be responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the codebase. The role focuses on writing code that executes in an automated and repeatable fashion to reduce manual testing efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Writing and editing automated test code using the same standards as a Software Engineer.
- Creating repeatable, reliable testing solutions to test product functionality.
- Maintaining the automation codebase in a version control system (GIT, SVN).
- Analyzing broken test cases, diagnosing issues, and repairing them to working order.
- Executing automated test scripts and evaluating results.
- Working with the engineering team to deliver automated tests that satisfy product requirements.
- Maintaining regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with flexibility for nights and weekends as necessary.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: 0-2 Years of relevant work experience (Freshers are welcome).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in coding for automation and understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Tools: Familiarity with version control tools like GIT or SVN.
- Core Competency: Ability to analyze code, diagnose failures, and write efficient automation scripts.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work variable schedules, including nights and weekends if required.
