Job Description
Quest Global Recruitment 2026 is hiring for the Automation Engineer position in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The role is part of the Engineering function and focuses on developing automated solutions that improve software quality, operational efficiency and business processes. The Automation Engineer will work with development, testing and operations teams to reduce manual effort, improve reliability and accelerate software delivery. The role covers test automation, API testing, CI/CD, regression testing, functional testing, integration testing and end-to-end testing. Candidates with programming or scripting experience in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript or PowerShell and knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, UFT or Robot Framework can be relevant for this opportunity.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Framework Design & Development: Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts for testing and business processes.
- Test Case Execution: Create and execute automated test cases for web, API, mobile and desktop applications.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Automation Opportunity Identification: Analyze requirements and identify opportunities for automation.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor automation execution results and troubleshoot failures.
- Quality Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, business analysts and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
- Testing Activities: Perform regression, functional, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Reusable Components: Develop reusable automation components and best practices.
- Reporting: Generate test reports, metrics and quality dashboards.
- Deployment Support: Support production releases and validate deployments.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is listed as a preferred qualification.
Experience: Practical experience in software testing, automation engineering, programming and CI/CD.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong programming or scripting knowledge in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript or PowerShell.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, UFT or Robot Framework.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
