Job Description
For the Rockwell Automation Recruitment 2026 drive, the company is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to work with the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) team. You will be responsible for analyzing and resolving customer issues, documenting solutions, and contributing to product improvements. The role involves a mix of Support (70%) and Development (30%). You must be willing to work in rotational shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM) and work 100% from the office for the first 6 months, followed by a hybrid model.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Customer Issues: Analyzing and resolving customer issues related to MES software.
- SDLC: Participating in all phases of the SDLC: analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Coding & Testing: Coding using specified standards (Java) and conducting unit testing.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with technical teams to provide high-quality support.
- Development & Integration: Developing modular solutions and maintaining ERP/SAP-MES integration.
- Support: Working on rotational shifts to provide 24×7 support.
- Monitoring: Monitoring system performance and resolving incidents promptly.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in IT/Computer Science (B.E, B.Tech, BCA, MCA, M.Tech).
Experience: Must have 1+ year of experience in software development/systems design.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong Java Programming skills.
- Knowledge of FTPC (FactoryTalk Production Centre) is mandatory.
- Proficiency in MSSQL and Oracle databases.
- Experience in Java-based automation software and Tire Manufacturing Execution Systems (Preferred).
Competencies:
- Very good command of spoken and written English.
- Willingness to work in 2nd and 3rd shifts and from the office (Pune/Chennai).
