Job Description
Rubrik is actively seeking energetic, passionate, and talented individuals to join their engineering ecosystem as Application Security Interns. This is an incredible learning role for candidates looking for a high-impact cybersecurity internship opportunity in Bangalore. Eligible freshers will contribute to optimizing Rubrik’s Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) framework.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Vulnerability Management: Assist core engineering teams in reproducing, triaging, tracking, and effectively mitigating application security vulnerabilities.
- Secure SDLC Optimization: Architect, test, and deploy technical solutions to further optimize Rubrik’s Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) framework.
- Automation Tooling: Design and build internal security tools to automate repetitive tasks, improving the Application Security team's day-to-day operational efficiency.
- Standards & Documentation: Work hand-in-hand with senior Application Security Engineers to document secure coding standards and formulate defensive security best practices.
- Metrics & Dashboards: Help develop and maintain high-fidelity reporting dashboards tracking vital Application Security quality metrics across projects.
- Global Collaboration: Coordinate and work cross-functionally with development partners located across multiple global time zones.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related technical engineering field. Must be graduating in the 2027 batch. Must be completely available to work full-time for the entire duration of the 12-week summer/industrial internship program.
Experience: Freshers (Demonstrated coding experience obtained from previous internships, personal code repositories, open-source contributions, coding competitions, or academic publications).
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages like Python, Go, Scala, C/C++, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Fundamental understanding of CI/CD integration pipelines
- Containerization environments (such as Docker and Kubernetes)
- Microservices architectures
