Job Description
For the S&P Global Recruitment 2026 drive, the Quality Engineering team is looking for an SDET who can think and execute like a developer while performing the role of QA. You will make a significant contribution by building solutions to test applications across Web, Windows, Mobile, and API/Services platforms. Your main challenge will be reducing the time to market for products without compromising quality by leveraging advanced automation, continuous integration pipelines, and a "Shift Left" testing approach. You will participate actively in functional, system, and regression testing activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Automation Frameworks: Develop automation and performance scripts using TypeScript/JavaScript or C# that meet organizational standards. Build reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites.
- Test Design: Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional specifications. Execute exploratory testing and analyze results.
- Partnership & Agile: Work in partnership with development teams in an Agile environment to deliver business functionality on time, ensuring it meets strict acceptance criteria.
- Data & Metrics: Capture quality assurance data and metrics to provide actionable insights. Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery.
- Cross-Platform Testing: Focus on building efficient solutions for Web, Services/APIs (SOAP/REST), Database, and mobile testing requirements.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is highly preferred.
Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in software testing or development, with a solid foundational understanding of coding and debugging procedures.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Basic programming experience in TypeScript/JavaScript (Node.js) or C#.
- Familiarity with automated testing using frameworks like Playwright (Preferred) or Selenium.
- Basic knowledge of SOAP and REST services with an understanding of SOA architecture.
Competencies:
- Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and CI/CD DevOps practices.
- Ability to write simple SQL queries and understand RDBMS concepts.
- Basic knowledge of LLM concepts and Generative AI principles.
