Job Description
For the S&P Global Recruitment 2026 drive, the team is looking for a Software Developer who can design and implement applications and services. You will participate in system architecture discussions and continuously improve development best practices. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who works effectively with a diverse global team. You should be comfortable with Linux/Unix environments, Git version control, and have a good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Test Driven Development (TDD).
Roles and Responsibilities
- Application Design: Design and implement scalable applications and services.
- Architecture: Participate in system architecture and design decisions.
- Feature Implementation: Interpret and analyze business use-cases and translate feature requests into technical designs.
- Best Practices: Continuously improve development and testing best practices using frameworks like Jest, Jasmine, or Playwright.
- Collaboration: Participate in regular design and code review meetings and coordinate with product managers.
- Ownership: Take ownership of development tasks and deliver high-quality code.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience: 1 – 3 years of relevant experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with Relational or Time Series Databases.
- Experience using RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Git.
- Strong understanding of Agile and XP practices (Scrum, Kanban, TDD) and CI/CD pipelines.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work with a diverse global team.
