Job Description
For the Seagate Internship 2026, the team is looking for a self-driven intern to join the Storage Software group. You will learn and interact with Storage Arrays and Host Environments, supporting engineering activities such as designing, developing, testing, and modifying automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will contribute to architecture reviews and feature scoping while writing clean, modular, and maintainable code. This role involves building scripts (primarily in Python/Shell) to improve engineering workflows and analyzing logs to assist in root cause analysis.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Automation Development: Support the design and development of automation frameworks, feature tests, and utilities using Python.
- System Interaction: Learn and interact with Storage Arrays and Host Environments.
- Code Quality: Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze logs, investigate failures, and assist in root cause analysis of system issues.
- Tool Development: Build helper modules, libraries, and command-line tools to support the engineering team.
- Documentation: Document design details, features, scripts, and internal tools.
Skills and Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
Experience: Freshers.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Programming proficiency in Python and Java.
- Basic understanding of OOP concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
Competencies:
- Familiarity with Virtualization environments.
- Version Control skills using Git.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills, with a learning mindset.
