Job Description

Siemens EDA Recruitment 2026 is hiring for the Software Development Engineer role in Noida. Candidates with a B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech qualification in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science can apply for this opportunity. The role focuses on C/C++ software development, compiler technologies, algorithms, data structures and UNIX/Linux development for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) applications. The position is suitable for fresh graduates as well as experienced engineers who want to work on software used in semiconductor and chip design workflows. Selected engineers will work with global teams on compiler solutions, optimization techniques and customer-focused software problems while gaining exposure to EDA technologies and modern development practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize compiler solutions and tools using C/C++ on UNIX/Linux platforms.
  • Design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures for EDA applications.
  • Apply compiler concepts and optimization techniques to improve software performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into scalable software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of software development practices.
  • Test, debug and refine software components.
  • Ensure software components meet expected quality standards.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EEE) or Computer Science (CS) from a recognized engineering college.

Experience: The position is listed for both freshers and experienced candidates, making it relevant to recent engineering graduates as well as early-career software developers.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

  • C/C++ Programming: Object-oriented programming, memory management, pointers, classes, templates, efficient coding practices.
  • Data Structures and Algorithms: Ability to design efficient algorithms and data structures for EDA applications.
  • UNIX/Linux Development: Hands-on development experience, understanding command-line tools, processes, files, debugging, basic system-level development.
  • Design Patterns: Knowledge of common software design patterns for scalable and maintainable C/C++ solutions.

Competencies:

  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms for data-driven applications.
  • Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL.
